Was running the motor after some ignition work, new pickup in the dizzy, we were timing it, and as soon as the rpm's got above Idle, BANG! SPLAT!
I thought at first that it was a fire/explosion (this was right before I discovered the internal problems and didn't know that it was two intake valves not functioning in one plane that was causing flames to come out of the carb, and not timing issues)
A few seconds later I was thinking, Alright, no fire, then I saw the pieces of cast iron on the inner fenders......

I guess that's why they invented booze. :razz:
