Ok I have tell this story even though I look like a dink,.,. I was replacing all the rockers pivots and pushrods in the J-10..So I am proceeding nicelygot all of them done but the last set.. passenger side all the way to the back.. Dropped the last stinkin push rod into the motor.. #-o now I either go fishing or yank the manifold..Dammit! (I never said I was smart gracefull or co-ordinated.. Handsome and well endowed yes.. :mrgreen: )

Well Goose I dont know about that you may get lucky and its worth a shot. I just hope it isnt next to the firewall for convenience sake.

Go fishing, a small magnet on a telescoping rod should catch it. You can get them for a couple $ at Harbor Freight. Bob tufcj

And the bait of choice is a small dash of 10w30. Overcast usually produces better fishing results, but these things can still be caught during full sun. Sometimes chumming the hole with more parts will entice the correct one to bite. Good luck and happy fishing! :sa:

yea it is right next to firewall.. by the heater core.. I may have to take the hood off, but fishing will be the order of the day.. (If I have to take the manifold off I'm going to change cams)

goose, I keep one of those telescoping magnets (about the size of a pen) in the tool box just for those fishing expeditions. Turns out its a handy devil, I use it often enough.
