CRS6000HJ Ultra light shotpeened 4340 forged rods.
We are disassembling them this evening getting ready for Cryogenic heat treating at the same time the crankshafts will go out which will be very soon. After Cryo these bad boys are getting .022" ground off one side so their will be a .028" of offset left on one side of the rod. After they are ground and cleaned up they will get new bushings and a final honing for the wrist pin. The CRS6000HJ rods represent the latest in forged technology and with the stress relieving of cryogenic treatment we will be even more confident that these rods will live under big HP and hi torque numbers.
