mechanical clutch problem.....please help

just swapped in my 360 from a i6....now the clutch wont disengage....i extended the piece that goes into the clutch fork as far as i could and the throwout bearing just hits the pressure plate....but i cant extend it anymore.....any help would be appreciated on what might be causing this.......

You used up all your adjustment? Wasnt their another rod you could adjust near the front of the tranny?

i adjusted the rod that has the ball end on it...it sits on the end of the clutch fork on the outside of the tranny....i didnt see any other rods to adjust????

Ok so if you look at your linkage is it that you went the wrong way with adjustment? Is it possible you are using the wrong throw out bearing?

if it won't disengage, you need to tighten up the cable by adjusting the other way

there arent any cables to adjust.....and if i adjust the piece that goes into the throw out bearing the opposite way then i really dont have pressure on the clutch pedal....when i made it longer i could fell the throw out bearing hitting the pressure plate but not enough the disengage it.....

Are you using a diaphram or 3-finger clutch? Is it possible that you knocked out the ball that the clutch fork pivots on? Is the bracket on the bellhousing end of the bellcrank on right? I've seen them reversed. The bellcrank should be parallel to the firewall. Just some thoughts. Bob tufcj

the bracket is on right.....however i will have to double check if it is still sitting on the ball....i know its a possibility that i could have come off but there is a little spring that hold it on there.....
