Listen to the tune (or not) & read the words. This was what I had read at the 'Flag Passing' at my retirement. Flag Passing starts with the lowest rank that I started at (E2) and every rank I held in between up to the Senior Rank (CWO4). It was a very emotional time when the words you see on the page are read with the song you hear playing softly in the background.
Still gets me.
