Are they worth anything? I have a 4bbl one just sittin round.

In my opinion they are worth something.
Same bore as a 360. Shorter deck hieght, 9.175 vs 9.208 on '70 & up.
Same rods as 290-304-360. Shortest stroke AMC crank at 3.28, but cast not forged.
Pilot in butt of crank needs modified to fit to later TorqueFlite trannies.
Stock cast flat top 343 pistons can be used in a std bore 360 to bump up compression.
Stock Heads are the rectangular exaust port though, not as desirable as '70 & up dogleg style.
What's the milage ? Where are ya located ?
AMC 290's and 343's used the same 3.28 crank, had different bores.
AMC 304's and 360's used the same 3.44 crank, had different bores.
AMC 290's and 304's had the same 3.750 bores.
AMC 343's and 360's had the same 4.080 bores.

343's made some good power. If I remember correctly just changing over to dog leg heads and a edelbrock performer intake gave them 290hp

Thanks guys. I don't know what the milage is cause I got it in a package deal but it's pretty clean externally....came from Arizona.
I'm located in central Florida.

A person who had a '68 or '69 Javelin, AMX, or other AMC car
with a VIN that calls for the 343 would like to have that motor.
My '69 AMX was a 343-4V car and I'm still using the 343 block.
The 343's came in 2 barrel 235 HP, and 4 barrel 280 HP versions.
Difference was the pistons / compression, 2V = 9.0:1, 4V = 10.2:1.
Unfortunarely, I'm far away from Florida in CinSinNasty OhighO
That is if you were interested in selling it I mean.

Yea I would be interested in selling it to someone who needs one.I've got alot of stuff to sell....mostly Mopar but just been to lazy to dig it out and list it. I'm on 2 1/2 acres so I have lots of parts and a few cars.

i have ran a 343 motor the old fireball crane cam. r4b intake ,headers and holley carb made 300 rear wheel horse power with square port heads!!!! these motors are a good cheap power maker not to be over looked. i bought that motor in 1982 and it still runs today .
