I believe stock AMC Valve Springs are 1.400 O.D. x 1.125 I.D., 1.812 installed hieght,
90 lbs closed, 190 lbs when opened .425 lift, that is without rotating retainers.
Some motors have exhaust valve rotating retainers and shorter springs.
There's a shoulder on the cylinder head spring seat that locates the spring.
I have heads fitted with Crane #99893-16 1.460 O.D. Double valve springs
but the spring seat in the heads was machined to fit the inner springs .800 I.D.
