BREK The guy with the 9 second amx is a member here radamx. Whats most impressive to me about that car is he does that on 10.5 street tires
Holeshot Sounded like that 9 sec AMX has a Powerglide, do you know? What does it take to put a PG behind an early 390???
Holeshot also, absolutely amazing how stickey a freshly "Bite'd" track is!!! I broke the diff yoke right off of my Model 20 first time out!!!
BREK don't know what it would take to adapt a pg to amc sorry :-| but that would be interesting to find out!!!
tarior Sounds like a three speed to me :-| http://eshop.advanceadapters.com/commerce/catalog/product.jsp?product_id=1877 You would have to modify a flexplate to work.
FuzzFace2 What I hear to use a PG you could go with a JW Ultra bell sfi rating bell housing to replace the GM one and bolt AMC to PG, an AMC TH400 flex or a TF drilled to use a GM converter, TH400 in put shaft for the PG & a TH 400 converter. The flex should be sfi rated too if for racing that this setup is for any way. Dave ----
