FuzzFace2 Congrats on the new system. On the old system put a gig+ of ram in it, ME is the worst OS MS made, junk the ME and move up to XP if your other cards will work with it and it will live for a long time as the wife’s or kids PC. Mine and the wife’s desk tops are P4 2.4g with 1g of ram, video & sound cards are OK for what we do with them, running win2K. My server is a P3 700 with IIRC 1g of ram also running win2k server. Built all 3 from scratch- mother boards, ram, case, cards, etc. But I use a Compaq laptop p3 700 512 ram win2k mostly. Hey I can sit in my living rm in my comfy recliner watching tv and surf the net! old-engine-nut dam - reminds me of a trash 80. I know a fellow out east who literally started an ISP business in his barn. It was a BBS until the "web" came along. He's got a heated shop there as well - a wood burner - controlled by an APPLE. The program to control the dampers, etc. is written in BASIC. That 'puter mc posted made me think of his barn with its racks of modems and the Apple controlled wood stove. Cool.
Lifted79CJ7 I picked up Grand Theft Auto for the ol computer (first time in years I have picked up a game for I know as soon as I buy one I can kiss at least a month of my life away, so I steer clear of them!), and my crappy old 750MHz computer's video card won't handle it. :smile: Guess I need to get a new one also. #-o
