I am picking up another CJ, it comes with a rebuilt 0 mile tf727 that is bolted to a Dana 20. What would this have been out of? I didn't know the 727 bolts to D20s

not from the factory th-400 and a md 20
727 only came in FSJ after 80 cj's had the 909 and another one that went to a 300tc

Got in contact with the builder of the tranny, this is what he told me
"its a wagoneer case with scout2 guts and adapter. makes the strongest and shortest set up available. we used them in sand drag cj5s"
J4GRAND
Looks like the builder answered your question; it's out of a Scout II. Sounds like a great set-up.

now i just need to decide if i want to run that, or my T-18 / D300.

if you have a cj7 it might be easier than what i'm doing, if you have a cj5 tell me what your doing with driveshaft angle

haven't played with drive shaft angles yet. But mine is a CJ-7 that is SOA. I haven't put either tranny in it yet

I know nothing about auto tranny's I need to get a torque converter for this tranny What should i be looking for? what stall? etc I know there is a tranny cooler in the jeep as well, do i need any sort of inline filter? or is the internal one fine?
any help / suggestions would be great
Thanks

Paul, if you run across another 727 for a D300, I'm still looking. Found a T400/20 set up in FL, but really don't want to lose the 4:1 in the 300

Yeah, and the number of e-mails and PM's I've sent to Lifted have resulted in NO Pics and NO further info ... so I sorta gave up on him.
Jack  Answer your PM's .....

Sure thing, I'll snap some pics tomorrow and email them to ya. All I have left right now is the tranny and torque converter, the shifter and kickdown are now in the rightful hands of Paul. Paul, I'll also see if that one part is still on the tranny or not.
