how accurate is the stock oil pressure guage mine seems to be erratic at certain engine speeds and seems to pick up more pressure after i wind the motor up a little then let it back to normal cruise speed

Hard to say.....really hard to say how accurate your sending unit is. I would take it out and replace it with a new unit.

They really arent that bad but the loose connection and corrode from the ouside in so the accuracy can go down.
