Well if y'all hadn't heard I'm working in Sandwich UK for the next few days. Doing the same thing I did in St Louis - just further from home :roll:

The good thing is, we don't work weekends here :? So the team and I went to Leeds Castle today.

No but I asked!!! What cooler way to get the tourists interest than letting them put on 100 pounds of chainmail and medieval armor??? :t:

Today's visit was to Margate (built around Margate Prison) and Tun Farms that grows hops for BEER!!! :wink: Then getting lost on the way home :oops: But I have some cool pics from there too. They have a military museum on site and is home to the, "The largest military vehicle spectacular in the world." 19-23 July (I missed it) :smile: but cool stuff (restorable, except the one tank is "shot" :-| ) still there :sa:

And remember the US Marine Corps got started at Tun Tavern.

Well the World cup is over ... Italy over France after extra time and a 5-ball shoot out. Good game *-)

Here is the latest link for today‚Äôs adventure. Visited Margate - home of HM Margate Prison circa 1826 and some shots of a Hops Farm in Tun. They had a better collection of WWII vehicles and the wars affect on civilians, than they did about hops growing (one building each). But, they did have a century of history of English hops, a petting zoo etc...

Went to dinner in Canterbury at a Morroccan place. Good food. Seems the ethnic foods are better here than the National foods??

To bad I have to WORK tomorrow - been a good weekend, but back to the grind stone. :cry:

Sounds like you are having a blast over there - glad they are letting you have some free time for once! I also had a pretty fun weekend - went camping with a couple friends at Mistletoe something or other outside of Augusta GA. We had pretty much the entire place to ourselves, so no screaming kids, no neighbors to disturb, etc. The campsite was right on the water, so when you open the flap to your tent, you see the lake. Ahh the rough life....
