Parking lot brake job

What do I need to bring to the parking lot to rebuild the front brakes on '93 Grand Cherokee? I know I will need rotors, a caliper kit, etc, but will I need any special tools to get the rotor off? Do you have to remove the hubs?

wrong forum but: a jack 19mm end on a lug nut tool (or 19 mm socket on impact tool)maybe 21mm if not factory lug nuts, 18mm if chrome sleeve is gone 13mm or 10mm wrench for caliper bolts (they used both) 13mm or 10mm flare nut wrench for brake line if replaceing calipers (see above) c-clamp, caliper tool, or big ass channellock pliers. brake pads brake rotors lube for caliper bolts brake parts cleaner to clean shipping oil off new rotors rags, your shirt will work but, your buddy's works better remove caliper and rotors slip off. wham, bam, thank you ma'am. don't forget fluid if you are replacing calipers

Rob, have you crossed to the Jeep-side??? FINALLY!!! And it is considered a full size - according to the guys at the IFSJ invasion ans some otehr periodicals (but not by GW enthusiasts :shock: ) :?

No, I was just helping out. A knucklehead that works for me thought that it would be smart to drive into work with no brakes. The calipers were leaking and the rivots in the pads were almost gone. It was ugly.

Not all knowing, but I made that mistake too (my younger Bro has one) and was cruelly corrected by 'those that know' at the Invasion :oops:
Som efolks even consider the Comanche as an FSJ, but I stil debate a mini-truck in that category!!! :?

I don't know about full size, either, it is more of a mid-size jeep :-|
