tarior Well, here is one of my two gripes about full time four-wheel-drive: This is what happens when the front driveline breaks on the freeway onramp at about 50 mph. This came out of my $495 '78 J10 (no wonder it was so cheap!) Here is part of the giant glob of JB Weld that the previous owner tried to fix it with.
tarior Story I got is that the guy's kid went to get on the freeway, stood on the gas, and wham!, the front driveline gave way. He sold me the truck double cheap because the tranny quit working (the drivline also removed the vacuum modulator) and, it leaked incessantly.
tarior On the plus side, I did get a 401 powered Jeep truck for $500! Fortunately I just happened to have a spare trans laying around.
