Yep they found the problem... now i think they should fly down and fix the problem then i would call it even... :mrgreen:

Well I tried my best to get the parts needed while we were there, doesn't that count :smile: I mean I DID get greasy and provided tools. Jason got drunk and fell out of formation, and the other :razz: put that bent POS BACK on the axle the first drunk took off 8)

Glad to see ya got a new spindle - how bad was the other side? Salvageable or will you need a new spindle there too?

A friend did that a few years ago. We were at the dunes in Silver Lake. He had been playing in one of the water holes that day. Must have filled the bearings with sandy water. We were driving home on the interstate (evening in the dark) when sparks started shooting out of the front hub like a welder. We pulled over, and the lockout hub was so hot that it melted the plastic end right out of it. We were only about an hour from home, so he stayed and pulled it apart, I ran home and pulled a spare spindle/hub/rotor from an axle I had in the shed. Put it together and zip tied a baggie over the end (we didn't have another lockout) and drove it home. Ahhh, the fun of repairs on the side of the road. I'll have to dig around, I still have a pic of the melted hub somewhere. Bob tufcj
