pablorg Hi, I just fired up my engine (AMC 360) with the newly installed Edelbrock EFI. It worked great with one exception: the tachometer doesn't work. I am not sure where to connect my tach wire. I hooked it to the negative terminal of the MSD # 8227 coil but it doesn't work... Another question is that I have one "leftover" wire that seems to be light brown in color with a pinkish connector... anyone here happen to know where do I hook this one to? Thanks a lot for any help,
BREK what kind of tqach is it? here's what autometer's swebsite says red= key on power supply black= common chassis ground white= dashlighting power green= tach signal for standard or electronic ignitions yellow= used only on internal coil magneto tach's as the signal wire twin black= ( looks like a lamp cord) is used on external coil magneto tach's that use a pick up (#5210) gray= for tach's that use hi/lo shift light. when grounded,lo shift light point is active. ungrounded, hi shift light is active. blue= used on playback tach's to start recording
fivequarter The brown wire with the female spade connector and transluscent pink insulator is the tachometer signal lead.
