Holeshot Hey, Fuzz....what kind-o-pistons were those??? Did you do PTVC & PTHC checks? What were those readings? I didn't see Alfano's cam walk setup on the block, not using roller lifters? Are you sure the mech fuel pump will deliver enough to feed 550HP? Why only single-line oiling system? What r u using for carburetion?
fuzz401 they are ross flast top solid lifter cam 292/298 .05@ 246/250 lift.500/.510 pump has 6-7 psi out it now 750 elde carb
Holeshot I was really wondering about GPH not PSI, those flattops should be good for 11~1 or better with an open chamber & .045" piston to head clearance. Pretty nice amount of cam as well. Should be well over 500HP, but for the lack of CFM, 850~950 (or more) is more in order for what the pictures seem to be showing. Standard (MadDog) Ross flattops that I have seen have symetrical valve notches, yours appear to be the good ones with specific (to the heads) notching.
