Prestolite, Motorcraft, Duraspark, Delco.......
After browseing through some TFI sites, i discovered i need to swap out my Prestolite dist for a Motorcraft.....just so i can perform the TFI upgrade. I can live with that.
It also mandates replaceing the ignition control module with a Duraspark unit which brings up the question: Is my old 6cyl ignition module compatable with the V8 ignition....once i get rid of the Prestolite dist?
Anybody got a MC dist. base?

I wouldnt waste the dough doing that swap. I would run a HEI instead. It rids you of the stock coil, distributor and ignition control box. TFI will take a ignition control box, new cap, new coil and wire splicing.
