Quickest AMC ever?

Alright gurus, who has the quickest AMC (ever) in the quarter, and what was the E.T./ MPH?

AMC powered AMC? We have a guy in town with a 1500hp AMX but its Hemi powered.

I know RadAMX was hitting high 8's, but what I'm asking is who has built the quickest 1/4 mile AMC powered car in the history of the world, and just how quick? Is it possible for an AMC to run 7's or 6's?

I cant remember the guys last name but he used to post on the Forum as n2ojoe, I believe he was from Michigan. He had a Tube Chassis AMX that was black with silver jagged lightning bolt type scallops, Looked like a shark! In 2004 he posted a 7.99 @ 168.xx at the AMC Nationals in Cordova! And he was AMC powered! I know he sold the car and I think the guy running it now is doing low 8s. will try to find a Pic.

Thats the one! Thanks Fuzz, I cant find the pics I took at Cordova 2004, Bums me out cause I had one of Joe posing next to the car right after that 7.99 pass. To bad he toasted a valve and couldnt get to eliminations that day.

I met Joe in Kenosha he was a nice guy. He loves that injected muscle. I believe he said he was getting bored with the car and was hanging it up...things must have changed for him.
