I just got back into Jeeps after a 3 year absence. I had a 95 YJ I was building but it was a second car and I ended up selling it. Now I have a 75 CJ5 with a 304, T-15,Dana 20, Front Dana 30 and Rear Dana 44. The Jeeps frame has already been redone and the Body Has No rust I can see. (and trust me I've looked). The engine is sound I've already given it the once over and I already have a 2.5 inch lift. I want larger tires 33X12.50 at the most it has 31's now. I'm redoing the wiring harness this weekend with a Painless kit. So my question to you is what next this Jeep is a daily driver but I also take it off road. I'm redoing the Gauges with the wiring but am considering a Stainless Dash. I want a front Dana 44 Also. I haven't really done this in awhile and appreciate any input.

Welcome back to "The World". For a 75 CJ5, cut it in the middle add 10" and call it a CJ7  J/King
I would suggest running it for a while with what your doing and find the weak spots. - If your 304 is healthy, the first swap would be the front 30 to something else. At the very least shafts and u-joints. I found my hubs were pretty well trashed and replaced them when I did the shafts & joints.
Build wise, it depends on what your plans are for your Heep and what kind of wheeling your getting into - mud, rocks, sand ....
Which Painless kit did you get? They have a new one out with a waterproof fuze box I was thinking on getting for ymy daughters YJ.
Welcome tothe site!!! Enjoy your stay =D>

I was thinking the exact samething as far as the axle is concerned. As for the Rollbar that's already done too.
