As i'm stuffing the 360 into the CJ, I'm about to stick the starter in and see there is a hole into the block. :smile: Now, since this is my first 360, I'm assuming it's a freeze plug.

Which one??? - 3/4 or 7/8????

I can't get my calipers in there to measure. :smile:

Split some wood and ...

Finished getting the bell housing bolted in,
Twin sticks and shifter installed
The heat shield issue corrected.
Got the skid in last night, (another pain when by yourself)
Bought a P/S pump and brackets off e-bay (damn things are expensive!!!) 111!!!
Got a YJ tach also - I like the angled brackets ... going on the left side of the column.

Have a new ALT ready to go on when the bracket gets here ... :wink:
Still haven't found a hardend 3/16 roll pin to put the dizzy gear on (been slammed at work all week) but I have new cap, rotor, wires ready to go

Nothing to worry about. It's just a hole left during casting, and doesn't go anywhere except into the cavity behind the flywheel. No plug or anything needed. Bob tufcj

Thanks Bob ... seems like another avenue to get water/junk up in there around the clutch.

Henry - - Nope.
First AMC V-8 (I still have 3 x I-6's and have had Cebby 327 or 350's in the other ones), found it when I was rather P/O'd about some other stuff. The chiltons sucks so I asked the question.

This is where I'm at now, the wiring is just roughed in and not finished ... waiting on the P/SP pump (Ebay - should be here next week) and ALT brackets, oil fill tube/cap (hopefully next week), and headers (also should be here next week) to finish the final layout, and then I can put it all back together!!! I've got to get it running and the new motor broke in before a wheeling trip to FL a month from TODAY and the FSJ invasion in June!!! :!: :t: :!:
