What was the first year that AMC used the Ford electronic ignition, or, better yet, what was the final year with Delco points?

I thought points ended in 71 or 72 then prestolite then duraspark :-|

They went electronic in 76, 75 and older had points. My 77 CJ was stock with Prestolite. The ECU died and left me stranded enough that I started carrying a spare. I believe the MotorCraft was a running change in 78. The early 78s are still Prestolite. I went with a Mallory Unilite, been great for nearly 17 years now.
