Thought i'd step in and say a few words being a newbie and all.
Not new to jeeps, been doing the AMC thing for around 15 years now. Started out with a '65 CJ5 and quickly traded onto a '7. 3 motors later (4cyl, 6cyl, 6cyl) im stepping up to a V8 which brought me to this site (best on the net for V8 info from what i can make out)
Anyway, my CJ currently has a built up 258 (Comp cam, flat pistons, bla bla) with a 4.0 HO head, Clifford intake, 500cfm Edelbrock, XJ header, TFI ignition, desmogged.......T18a/Dana300 twinsticked.....Superior axles, 4.10's, locked front and rear. 33" swampers, 5¬? suspension lift, flatfendered, custom camo Krylon paintjob, Warn 8274, Onboard air, custom hand throttle, Chevy heater upgrade, and a bunch of other things i have no idea how to use.
Blew the engine, got offered a rebuilt 401 for dirt cheap and here i am....eager to learn what makes these things tick...or not tick :roll:
