The block is completely assembled and filled with oil.
Would have been, but what I did was polish the "bumps" and beat the crap out of a 5/16 wrench to get it snugged in there.
Now ... on to pressing the new bearings on the axle. But one of the seal retainers has some stress cracks in it???? I'm going to bead blast it tomorrow see how bad it is, and see if I can grind out the cracks, reweld it and then machine the surface back. My salvage yards are closed on weekends now 🙁: Don't understand that - figured Sat would be good days for the Yards to do business - anyway, it'll be quicker to see if I can fix the one rather than try and find one.
