MC was going to start a line of harnesses. Not sure what happend, but I'll bet the machining business got booming and the 'wire guy' is running a mill
As for the "Plug and play" part? I tried that with 3 different harnesses for the 87 - I wound up making 1 out af all of them. An expensive lesson for trying to use OEM. I'm going back to the simple Painless. And while it really is NOT Painless, the simplicity for what you need to run a Jeep is great. When I get the winch and extra lights and what not, I can wire those in easily through relays or a power strip.
I'm about to strip that whole harness and computer out of the YJ and put in the Painless setup. but I'm going to put the fuse block somewhere else than under the dash. Trying to waterproof it in the CJ has proven fruitless - so I'm going to move it too. I'm thinking doing the fuse block under the hood (like the TJ?) and put the board in a tupperware container to keep the water out
