This item looks like the part I want. I have a question though...
Can I use it to pulloil into the pump through an external line from the pan and out through an external filter to the tapped hole in the block you would normally screw the adapter for the OP Sending unit? Basically bypass all the internal passages in the cover. Looks like I could use it for something like that anyway.

Only 534 can be used as a dry sump pickup. 626 is for filter relocation only and you cannot feed the pump with it.

Does #534 have provision for the pressure relief?

Yes both part numbers have a pressure relief just like the stock adaptor.
