Edelbrock Heads and Chromemoly Pushrods

Hi, I recently bought Edelbrock Heads for my AMC 360 and ordered chromemoly pushrods from Crane Cams (part # 86713-16). However, when I opened the package with the pushrods, I get a warning label that says: "CAUTION: These pushrods cannot be used with guideplates. The tubing is not heat treated and will wear through at the contact point." So.... can I use these pushrods with the Edelbrock Heads. Or a different question: do I need to use guideplates with the Edelbrock heads? Please help!

The guideplates keep the pushrod from twisting the rocker sideways and keeps everything inline. If you are using independent rockers you will need guideplates on those heads. You may need to look at a different pushrod.
