Flexplate Question

i've got a question here, figured you guys would probably know the answer. i'm swapping a 360 into my '77 CJ7 to replace my 304, and i'm using the stock th400 tranny that came in the jeep. my question is, can i use the flywheel from the 304 on the 360 as is, or do i need to get it balanced to the 360's specs first. the flywheel that came with the 360 is for a tf727 and won't work but i figured i could use it to get the 304's flywheel balenced to its specs. also, to get the flywheel balanced do i have to get my entire rotating assembly balanced along with it? a guy down at a machine shop over here was under the impression that i might have to, but he wasn't sure. any help would be appreciated!

if you have the plate that came off the 360 it should be able to be matched to one from for a th-400 for the 360 (matched balanced ) the best way is every thing ballanced as a assy.

360 to th400 is the most common flexplate used in AMC's. I have a couple here if you need one
