Need a new wire set for an 85' Grand Wagoneer 360. Not sure if the distributor is a female or male connector. The engine is going into a CJ but the distributor, along with most everything else, is in a buddy's garage.
Also, any suggestions for size and brand of wires and plugs.

As long as the distributor is factory, the plug wires will be male. Straight boots at the plug work best. Only the GM HEI and Ford units are female.
Any good quality 8MM wire set will be fine. Stay away from copper core wiresas they can cause radio and CBs to crackle. I've always had good luck with Accel wires.

taylor wires are the best bang for the buck ,damn close to not having extra lenght and good wire for the price ,check summit racing .around 50 bucks .

I'll second the vote on Taylor wires.. Well worth the money.. plus cool colors..
