Wondering if any one know's of any NEW higher than stock compression ratio ,cast or hyper( Not Forged ) pistons for a 360 ? i can only ever see the stock pistons in various oversizes which are about 9.0:1 compression with 58 cc heads , i am seeking around 10.0:1 compression pistons,
Know of any/any shop that has them ???????????????????????

I have 9.5:1 compression pistons in my 360. The machine shop that did my block/head work obtained them so I don't know what brand they are. They are a cast piston so I know that higher compression ones are out there. Might want to check Summit Racing or other hi performance suppliers.

:-| I have to ask why not forged? If you're going to higher compression, there's always the threat of detonation, even at modest 9:1 compression. A forged piston will take a lot more pounding than a cast or hyper will. I know Keith Black will custom make hyper pistons to your specs, but the cost is very near or above forged, so why not just go that way and be done with it? The Ross forged pistons in my 390 were about $550 for a standard .030 over set. Custom sets are only about $100 more. If you're going economy, just go stock compression. Raising the compression without doing the other work, like port/polish, 3 angle valve job, intake and exhaust work, etc, won't give you much of a gain anyway. Kind of like anything else, spend the money and go all the way, or don't bother. Go half way, and you've wasted the money, because you'll be disappointed, and end up doing it over anyway.

343 pistons :lo1l:

briteblock>> funnly enough , i have been searching everywhere for Hi-comp pistons in cast or hyper and could never find any , until i jumped on amcforum.com and asked that question , as it turns out flat top "343" pistons give about 10>>>11.0:1 compression and they are quite cheap too, hard to get tho.
My thinking is that if building this 360 , then its a waste of time going quality forged pistons when you can get a 401 which has a forged steel bottom end ( 360 cast bottom end ) and a beefier block, would rather spend it on a 401.
Also this motor will be blueprinted , pocket ported, mild cam, headers , air gap , D.U.I distributor ,etc , will run straight propane , when i come across a good builder 401( block & crank ) , then i will build it with quality forged pistons , scat H beam rods, etc and swap out the 360 bottom end then ( after project is done )

DANG!!
:sa: Your going for it with either engine! Yeah the 343 piston in a 360 is a old idea and has been posted here before... Good luck and take pics as you go. I would like to see the progress :?
