Trailer space available - Chicago to Denver

Looks like my job is transferring me back to the Chicago area some time between mid October and December. I'm going to have to make at least 2, maybe 3 trips out there with my trailer (open 18' twin axle) to store my Jeep and AMX at my mom's house. I'll be bringing it back empty along the I-80 corridor between Joliet and Denver. If anyone needs something hauled west towards Denver, I'd do it for fuel money. Bob tufcj

Not really too bad. I grew up in the Chicago area, moved to Denver (job transfer) in 1988. My mom, dad, brother & sister, neices, nephews, and many cousins still live in the Chicagoland area. I'll miss Colorado, but it will be nice to be close to family again. My wife's family is all from South Dakota (Rapid City and Sioux Falls), so there's really nothing but friends and my job that keep us here in Denver. The company paid to move me out here, now they'll pay to move me back. The relo package doesn't cover extra vehicles, so I have to move my Jeep, AMX, and motorcycle on my own. I'm going to take the extra engines, trannies, axles, and such that would pump up the cost of the movers too. Once I'm settled, maybe I'll take a trip north and visit the Bulltear shop. Bob tufcj

you are right that is what makes it easier. all in all im tired of making cross country moves, recently i had a similar opportunity and i opted for family over friends just like you. sounds like it is for the better. :sa: definately go give MC a serious rationing of crap

And not to hijack your truck ...er ...thread ... I've gotten 2 calls from a company that may want to relocate me to Orlando - with a pay rasie!!!! We'l see if this one pans out.

Yeah, I'm over this moving crap for a while. 7 moves in 4 years takes a toll on ya. I'm thinking of staying where I'm at for a few years. Hey Mud, I hope that job pans out, VA can kiss my grits....

I'm actully kinda mixed on it. After the last 2 years of hurricanes, the insurance down there has sky rocketed and the State is imposing a 6.5% surcharge on EVERYBODY to cover the FL Insurance Co. that is broke (another case of the responsible people bailing out the irresponsible because the government says we have to. This is the mando-last resort company for people to get flood/hurricane insurance and is backed by the state, on top of the 200% increase charged by the normal insurance companies :-|

Would still like something in the mountains, with less state taxes and even less state/Fed control.
