Rancher Bullheadedness

I just thought I would share this story.. We have a local Rancher out here that is umm opinionated (Okay this guys always right and anyone who disagrees is a "F'n Idiot") Anyway he comes knockin on the door and asks Can I bring my Peterbuilt out and put this load of hay from his 1 ton Ford and 26'tandem axle trailer on my Flatbed Cause his truck wont pull it out of the muddy field.. (ok so I'm thinkin Oh so you want me to come out here and get stuck in an even bigger truck for free?) but the punchline is this guy has always ragged me about my "Jeep Pickup" not being a "Real Truck" sooo I grab a couple snatch straps and my J-10 and go to the field. Now this may sound like exageration..but I hooked on and pulled this whole shebang out of this field about 3/4s of a mile with no trouble (after I told MR. personality to put it in nuetral and just steer ). After all this you would think even a truly stubborn man might reconsider.. nope..But I told the town gossip and she told every ranchers wife in a 75 mile radius.. I bet he is catching hell in town.. Hoooahhh J-10!!

:lo1l: for years my dad used his J20 to haul a backhoe on a goose neck trailer, the last one he haulled with it was too heavy for the trailer and the trailer tires kept failing, but no problem pulling the load. :t:

Welll the punchline here was that he had a Tractor out there in the field loading the dang hay!! now you would think he would have just hooked on and pulled himself out..(one of my other rancher nieghbors thinks he was trying to get the hay on my truck and then say "Well since it's already loaded can you deliver it down the road a piece for me ??" I think he may be right..)
