I was on the Indy Cylinder head site earlier today, and I noticed that they have AMC crate motors. I had to check it out. Man, are they proud of their stuff or what!? They wanted $7995 for a 360 HP, 370" AMC engine :shock: :shock: Gud load thasallottamoney! I mean, really, for 8 grand, I think I need about 650HP!! and a whole lot of bells and whistles, EFI, MSD, headers, exhaust, radiator and a car to put it in! Am I way off, or what? :!:
Hell the raffle motor ought to be good for 360 HP pretty easy, what would you charge for that, MC?

$3500 for a solid, reliable 360 hp or so AMC isn't unreasonable, I tend to think that 700 hp out of an AMC without a blower or nitrous would likely be about $10k,especially if it were even remotely streetable. :-|

700 hp is streetable in idaho.uncle has a 1000 hp 396 in a 69chevelle
and the car is registered and insured.might have a problem in ca.

I meant streetable from the standpoint of drivability. AFAIK, you can have as powerful an engine as you want, so long as you obey all of the traffic rules.

it is streetable. very driveable once you master the art of keeping the
lead out of your right foot. at 2mpg hwy. you better be nice with the go pedal.but 0 to 145 in 10seconds with the 4.88's in the rearend its not
