oooooh no......pooor 360 (pics)

Fellow AMC'ers 360 he had in the shop this weekend. He lost oil pressure and gained heat and a really loud knock. Found 3 collapsed lifters, all the rods stretched and 2 cylinders on the passenger bank have scoring....heavy scoring

Poor fella needs a 360 for next week in colorado :-/ Also found the rings to have the gaps lined up!!!! This is a reconditioned motor

I seem to recall MC had a come apart with a 401 Hmmmmm. At one time i had a picture of a 360 http://community.webshots.com/photo/197187802/200793181hEVvkM with two broken rods and 13:1 pistons siezed in the cylinders.

Tell him to get on Pirates page and check the classifieds in Boulder there was a 360 for sale about 3 or 4 weeks ago that didnt sell.

Fuzz, I remember that happening, but how did you fix? I am gonna assume it was another block, crank, and rod?

another 2 rods and block the crank turned down and back in it now

the first mach shop put arp rod bolts in and never gave me the paper with how to tighten them so i did the factory spec and that was not enough the nuts came loose this shop gave me the paper on how to tighten them and no problems
