258 CID has miss

:smile: I have a 1981 eagle with the 258-six-2v. The engine has a pronounced miss at idle and when running at even throttle. The miss is absent under load or accelleration. I have checked compression on all cylinders and they are all within tolerance. I have pulled the valve cover and checked all the rockers, etc. I have replaced ALL vac. lines. I have rebuilt the carb, replaced plugs, wires, dist, cap and rotor. Nothing has helped. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance NH

I am not sure about the eagle but does that year have a computer?

It has an "Engine control module" whic only controls idle and simple emissions. It does have electronic ignition. I believe it is the same setup used in the Jeeps of the same era. I know the engine is the same. 111!!! NH
