My '72 360 has a two belt, crank/balancer pulley and I want to use the 3 belt pulley for a/c etc...
Can I use the balancer from the '82 (acces.)donor 360?
I was thinking no because, they are not the same size. The older one is smaller/thinner than the newer one.

You can swap the balancer and lower pulley, but you'll also need to swap the water pump and upper pulley.
74 up engines used a 4 bolt lower pulley, earlier were 3 bolt. They also used a taller water pump. There may also be alignment problems with the accessories (alt and PS).

Thanks, I have all the acces. and pulleys, water pump, brackets, etc...It will be nice to have a/c in this black truck in eastern NC!
