Sheesh what a weekend..

Anyone else in pain from this weekend? I threw my neck out of whack , saw a 600hp 401, stripped my beloved 85cj7 of its axles and lift springs, went to a car show and saw AMC's, popped a 33" tire (my stupid fault), took in another waggy (jeepmandan's), watched king of the ants (very very graphic movie :oops: ), put together a 401 shortblock, smoked 2 cigars, demo'ed my zj (showed) for 8 people (airock kit), slept for 14 hrs... whew.....what did you do this weekend?

went to the local swap meet Sat. morning, amongst all the usual junk and crud there was a guy selling a 72 Javelin with a clapped out body but alot of good parts including a rear spoiler, functional cowl hood, a ton of peices inside the car, a running 360/727, and a rebuilt 401. now before I say what he was asking for the whole package let me just say that right now money is kinda tight for me, and I figired if I made a deal on it my wife would fold, spindle and mutilate all my favorite body parts. I thought about it for awhile and decided since we already have kids those body parts are not as nessary as they once were. So I wander back to talk to the guy and when I get there he has a sold sign on the car. DANG! Oh well wasnt ment to be. the worst part, THE PRICE... The guy was asking $600.00 for the whole package, and I think he let it go for $500.00. I should be shot! Plus I turned 40 today!

saturday:
woke up at 7 am got rid of a IH 304 and t-19 at 7:30 am, then at 9 am drove to manchester, MA 2.5 hours there with my brother inlaw to get a car

Got home at 2:45pm drove an hour to my inlaws for dinner, drank to much wine, then drove an hour in the other direction for a friends b-day party and got home at 2"30 am

Sunday
Woke up, started doing spring clean up, washed the cars, went and put a deposit in on this

Then got home, finished part of my spring clean up, and went to the bar at 10pm for another friend b-day, it is now 12:22 and i am about to go to bed so i could be at work at 8 am

cute puppy... Well this weekend was yard work and just messing around gettings together if we ever sell the house... Sunday afternoon the neighbors brought some folks over to look at the house... we were walking around having a beer and they asked our price... well they match our offer... so needles to say... GA here we come... Lator Gator... Frank

Friday evening I cleaned my frame with industrial cleaner and etched the metal to accept POR-15, then went for a run. Sat am I began the wonderfull task of putting 2 coats of POR on. It took basically all day, waiting for the drying and cleaning, went for another night run. Sunday I touched up any place I missed, went out to pressure wash my axles and start the rebuild on those but found no pressure. It blew something out and water is coming out of a place it shouldn't. So I wasted the rest of the day tearing it apart.

Worked on the AMX all day Saturday, 70 degrees outside. Got most of the interior in. Just need to get the dashboard and gauges in now. It snowed 18.5" at my house Sunday, gotta love Colorado weather :mrgreen: :mrgreen: . I belong to FEAT (fourwheel emergency assistance team), I got called up to ferry local doctors and nurses to and from work. Got to see a lot of stupid people stuck. I stop and help unless I have a passenger. Keep us 'wheelers on the good side of the news. It's going to be in the 60 tomorrow, and 70s again by Wednesday.

Hey MC in your old age you're not supposed to be up so late with the lady friend and those kinky positions tend to do things like throw out your neck. Thursday got to work at 6am got off at 5 had dinner with the first half of the folks and the girlfriend..... ended up being the driver of the drunks until midnight got home at 1am..... friday had a meeting witht he housing authority in town here at 7:30am.... went all day broke a water pipe on a job site soaked myself..... dinner with the other 1/2 of the folks bed at 10... birthday and all. Sat got breakfast with the girlfriend, toured a few houses for sale, collected jeep parts, cleaned out storage shed, 4 truck loads to the dump. Tried to find a 401 to 727 flex plate in someones stock pile of crap no luck... loaded a pickup load of wood for an enclosed porch drove 90 miles over to sacratomato worked on jeep... watched Jim wrestle with putting Ray's 401 together, needed the flex plate to install it in his jeep for him. ........ found out my tranny wasnt done yet.....stayed up till 2am got up at 7:30 am unloaded truckload of wood, wrestled with jeep power steering lines , routing, mountings, clearances and etc, moved radiator around tried to get a little more room in places where i needed it, installed a PS cooler under the hood. installed the belts and hoses for the 6th or 7th time. buttoned up heep around 8pm called it a night left dodge at Ray's house in sacramento loaded up at 9:30 in girlfriends car drove her and her sister back the 90 miles home (that was a nice ride sisters might be blood but are oil and water). went to bed and went to work today at 7am.

saturday i decided not to go to work for a mere time and 1/2 instead spent the day going to fawnskin ca via 4n16. it is hewavily rutted from all the snow,rain,and runoff but the eagle had no problems. stopped and had a beer and went home. sunday i went to work cause i just couldn't pass up 60 bucks an hour :mrgreen: went home took the family out to dinner got sam off to work then me cassie and dakota spent over an hour washing the eagle(sorry rat it was the girls idea not mine)it is now mudless.before the girls went to bed the sunday night pillow fights :mrgreen:

i did the neck out of wack thing, woke up with it sun morning, :smile: i'm still a little sore and it's almost wednesday #-o :-| but it's 99% better than it was on sun. :t:
