Well the 304 in the CJ has lost oil pressure.. so I think If I am gonna have to build a motor I would rather use the 360 I have..question is, The 360 is out of a 82 wag with an automatic trans..and it's going into a 77 CJ5, Will the flywheel interchange? I seem to remember one of the amcs used a different balancing arrangement but I dont remember which one..I know I will need a new pilot bushing for the 360 any thing else anyone can think of that is different?

The flywheel will interchange, but it won't be balanced right. All V8s are externally balanced. You have to have the flywheel and harmonic balanced specifically for the displacement engine you have. You could take it to a machine shop and have it match balanced to the 360 flexplate. If you use it as is, you'll have a vibration problem. Brand new 360 flywheels are on ebay all the time for about $125.
Everything else is a bolt in, all the V8s from 304 to 401 are identical externally.

Also, if the 360 was in front of a TH400, you will need to remove the little ring that is on the inside/end of the crank - otherwise you can't fit your pilot bearing in there.
