Well, with the hotel up for sale - and me wanting to stay with the company - my boss pulled me in the office today and gave me a worse case scenario if they can't find something cool for me in the next two months (when the hotel sells).

My boss and a couple other people are in the process of buying a Homewood Suites by Hilton in Williamsburg, VA (Rich freakin bastard). He asked if they didn't come up with something in the next two months, if I would want to be the GM there. Said it would be a 2 year gig, then move on to be a GM at a full service hotel. Well, that's better than nothing! Anywho, this is all I found on the net this evening....

Now - would I want to live in Williamsburg - the beach sure is super nice and Williamsburg sure is in the woods....

Um ... a ... Jack, on the UP side:
1 .. You still get the tourests, don't pay the 10% restaurant tax on top of the city and state sales taxes
2 .. William and Mary college (GREAT basketball and ah ... yeah great Hoops :? ) And ODU is not that bad a drive for the occasional game.
3 .. Yup - woods, but no Greek fest to tear up the town,
4 .. It's on the PGA tour and is 2 hours closer to wheeling in the mountains than where you are now.
5 .. Richmond and concerts are much closer
6 .. lower crime rate
7 .. The Bush brewery is located there (with Bush Gardens)

On the down side
Um .... yeah .. the down side ... um ... OHYEAH!!
1 .. No frigging hurricanes targeting your butt with the ocean in your lap (but we do get whacked up here so I guess that's a neutral)
2 .. Not as many bikini's
3 .. The Bush brewery is located there (with Bush Gardens) :wink:
4 .. You'll only be 20 minutes from me. :?:
