jeepmonster We keep getting the same error message on our computer that uses microsoft software windows etc, the computer starts but will immediatley go into safe mode. The error message is: This program has performed an illegal operation and will automatically shut down!" We have been unable to isolate the program that is causing the error message, although we figured out a way to start the programs we use individually. If we let the computer start up on its own it defaults to the error message and then "safe mode". We have moved the computer to another room(has nothing to do with error problem more for a new office) but when we had comcast hooked up I could double click on the comcast icon BEFORE all the other icons had loaded and could get on the internet without the error message. It seemed to work that same way if I double clicked say "word perfect". Also the message will pop out of nowhere and shut down the computer once we are in.??? Any tech experts out there know how to isolate the glitch that is causing the error message??? We need this computer to work for a Medical transcription service we run, it is affecting not only our lives but the lives of patients in hospitals as well. Thanks for any leads. We would rather not buy a new computer and copy everything from the current one since we are worried that we will copy the "virus" or whatever it is causing the error. :sa:
jeepmonster No we do not have the recovery disk?? The error message is as follows: NPNNPA32.EXE What will having the recovery disk do? Thanks again!
pyagid I have searched for the EXE that is giving you a problem. I can not find anything at all about it. Has the problem only started since the High speed interenet was installed? IF so try unistalling the software and see if that makes a difference. Or any other new programs that may have been installed causing a conflict -Paul
Penguin That sounds to me to be a blaster varient. Disconnect it from the network and fire it up again and see if it does it. The old blaster versions would start and then you could clean it.
