Winter Weather

Well, how is where you are? NewNews has had a fairly mild and wierd winter. It was low 20's with 15" of snow the day after Christmas, got back into the 70 the following week, stayed in the 40-50's for a bit and then snow and ice again last week. Yesterday was upper 20s low 30's with rain and sleet. Last night got to 17 and snowed on the frozen crap we had yesterday? Scary roads out right now with 1/2 of ice and 20-30 MPH winds. We don't have the salt/sand trucks to keep up with this. Watching the Weather Channel - New England is getting trashed in "The Blizzard or 2005" with 8" of snow an hour coming down. :shock: Mudrat

yeah we probably have a good 15" of snow at least right now. It is still coming too, supposed to stop around 8 pm tonigh. I already did the driveway 2 times, and a few nuts and bolts rattled off my 20 year old $50 snowblower, So i need to run out and get replacements before this evening, i really dont want to have to shovel the driveway :smile: Luckly for us though we did not have any icy crap underneath so it is just snow and not to bad to drive in -Paul

Yeah, I thought about you up there. I remember one winter at the Sub Base in Rott'n Grot'n - glad I don't have to wear ice crampons any more :shock:

I think it was 66 in Veneta Oregon today it been nice weather for the last week and the jeep is in the shop both axles out new gear and springs. it will be nice when I get it back together ,rain and 40 Jerry

Turd 8) I had 3 heaters running in the shop and it got up to almost 40!!! The weather Channel LIES!!!! High was only 25 with 20-30 MPH winds :smile: Guess it's time to insulate the floor :roll:

Just ice up here in the Richmond area and cold (for here anyway). Mudrat...you know any engine builders, up my way, with some real AMC experience. I want to build another 360. I'd rather find someone who knows what they're doing.

We got about 7 inches up here friday (minnesota). Heard the rest of your easterner's got hit pretty hard.

lets see... i was in athens, ga (just north) looking at some property, it was high around 60* and it was raining all day... we left Athens around 4:00 am on sunday and it was 22* and windy... brrr... got home in south fl and it was about 68* and not a clound in the sky... also monday was around 70* ... hope ya'll didn't get to much of the white stuff... 8)

Well it got to 43* here today and we still have some ice where the shade is. Since I have over 50 trees in my yard, there is a lot of ice left :razz:
The driveway is clear and the strees are mostly just wet - until later tonight :-|

How's your prosepective digs look? you going to be able to find a 'paying' job there?

OOOooohhhhh I liked being a house husband for 8 months after I retired - then reality hit that I have 2 kids looking at college :oops: And Jeep parts don't come free (to me anyway :smile: )
