cheapjeep Must be hell changing lanes  . I use to back my CJ onto my 16 foot trailer then wench my tent trailer on. I had a wench mounted on the flat bed and a ball to lock the tongue down. The tongue would go under the Jeep and the tires of the tent trailer would be right at the edge. I wired the lights of the tent trailer in to the flatbed so when I hit the brakes everyone knew I was stopping. It was hillbilly but it worked 8)
Dusty ive never been big on the camper over the front of a GN but it works. weight wise hes not too bad, thats the beuaty of the GN over a ballhitch you can screw up and it still hauls it. I used to pull a 24' GN and a 12' ballhitch fit three cj's no problem turned sharper too and slid under the radar for the length restrictions on alot of highways. all behind a doge powered 1 ton ford ext cab shortbed pickem up
cheapjeep Here's some pic's of my hillbilly rig, it towed pretty good. I towed it about 700 mile's round trip.
Dusty by law you had to have the lights hooked up, your furthest extremety has to be lighted. Actually by transportation law youcould have had only the front axle of the jeep attached to the deck of the trailer and it would qualify as the same thing as a dolly
John N Cool, that's Fernando's rig on the lead pix. He lives in Yorktown , Va. He cut the trailer down since that picture. It still fits the camper, Scrambler and his Harley. He can pull it great, he's got a Banks conversion on the duelly Dodge Ram. Stopping it, however, has been an issue at times.
