Stock covers should clear. I'm running Crane Gold rollers under stock covers on my AMX.
I don't have the Edelbrock heads, but is you're using the engine for 4-wheeling (just guessing from your handle), you're better off spending your money on a good port/polish and valve job on a set of iron heads. They'll flow just as good as aluminum, and you'll be money ahead. Spend the extra money on good headers, intake and carb. The aluminum heads only really start to shine above 4000 RPM. How often are you up there on a 4-wheeler?
