I have had my 78 cj-7 since 1979 = 25 yr.

 Got you beat. I bought my 77 in March of 78. It had 8000 miles on it. That will be 27 years in March.
On a side from that, there's very little of the original Jeep left. Dashboard, pedals, brake booster, seat brackets, and vin plate. The rest has been upgraded/replaced as needed in those 27 years of hard use. For the first 18-19 she was my daily driver. Only been retired/trailer queen for the last 7-8 years.
She knows now when I start her, we're going out to play.

I have never had a jeep more than 9yrs... mostly because I get bored with the one I own and move on to building another.... Jeep ADD 111!!!

i have owned my CJ for about 5 years now. As far as anything else i have had, I think i have owned 1 out of the 20 vehicles i have had for over a year and that was only 14months.
Usually i will buy something that needs a little work once it doesnt need anything and is reliable I get bored and sell it

Well I haven't had any of these Jeeps for very long, but I built my first Jeep for my father when I was 13. Now I am 38, he still has that Jeep. I have had several over the years, they either rust or or get wrecked.

I have had mine for about 8 years. My first "car" was a Jeep, and I have had one almost every since. The only time I did not is the 3 years that I was in the Army.

dude, how did you get thru the jeep withdrawls?
Trailbst
My CJ was the first vehicle that I bought. Got her in Jan. of 1994, so that means we've been together for almost 11 years now.
Like Tufcj's CJ, she is finally starting to realize that when I start her, it's to go play, or go into the garage to get some work done to her. No more mundane daily driving.

I have had this latest (1977 CJ7) mine for pushing 5 years now. Started as a daily driver then bought a cheapo truck and car to get me around so my $$ can go to the Jeep. Poor guy will run again someday soon!!

I have had my 79 CJ-7 since April of 1979. (I still have the invoice/sticker and all the original paperwork)
Originally had a 304, now a 401. Turbo 400, A/C, tilt, etc..
Pigs will fly before I EVER sell my CJ. My 15 year old daughter THINKS she can talk me out of it. NOT! (My 19 year old son thought the same thing) I figure they can fight over it when I'm dead! :lo1l:
