I did the night before after work. All I could get to without a ladder.
Anywho, I grabbed a ladder from work yesterday for the roof. I was actually gonna try and drive home with it on the roof of my kick ass purple civic (he he he), but ran into a contractor that does a lot of work for me, so I talked him into driving me over to my house (1minute, 33second communte to work each day) with his truck and ladder rack.
Anywho here's phase two!! And Yes, I am terrified of heights. Screw the top roof part. I am NOT getting on a 45 degree roof for stinkin Christmas
lights!! Anywho, the second one even has a little christmas music that I had playing in my garage while working for your listening entertainment....

Last night I finally grew the cajones to climb up that stupid ladder and hang some lights (once someone was home to call the paramedics incase I fell on my noggin). I would climb up, hang some, climb down, etc. It was really sad, I was clinging on to the ladder like a little girl and then my girlfriend wanted to give it a try and just zipped right up. Women 1, Men 0. #-o Anywho, That made me step up to the plate and hang them. I got about 1/3rd finished when a neighbor across the street came by and starts talking about skydiving, etc and can he go up? I looked at him funny and told him that I didn't want to be responcible for my neighbors death! Anywho, he just zipped right up and put them up. I used my car the entire time to stablize the the base of the ladder (which was warped so it made it really interesting!). Anywho, I'll post some more pics tonight. Now, what do I put up next?????
Anyhoo, anyone else get this stupid for the holidays???
Jack
PS-Something kinda funny. The neighbor that came over is in pretty bad financial shape and just moved into this boarding house. (My neighborhood is being cleaned up so it is good block/bd block right now). I had two strings of lights with a bad section out in them. I started replacing bulb after bulb to get it working and gave up after 20 minutes. Well my neighbor starts telling me about how doing all of the christmas spirit stuff is making him feel really good inside and then informs me that his name is Emanuel Moses Carter. He walks over to the lights, picks them up and looks at them for a second. "Hmm, must be a short". I turn around for a second to look at the lights he just hung, turn back around and the lights were working!! All he did was touch them! God bless the holiday season!! :reindeer:
