Goose What are you guys paying per gallon of the magical golden liquid?? where you live. We here in fly over Nebraska are paying 1.96 to 2.05 and it hasnt come down since the price per barrel went down. If this keeps up I'm gonna have to build an electric powered moped. with a/c and heat. hmm maybe a wet bar and a hot hot tub...Maybe not
mrtazwrench just went down to 1.87 today in lake city, i don't have the elec moped, but my toyota dd usually gets around 35, when we get harsh winter weather it goes down into the 20's.
jerry Don't know I fill up at the card lock when I need gas no prices. The Price at the station is $2.10 Diesel is $2.35 in Oregon Jerry
WilRace You lucky guys! In Sweden we pay the equvivialent of 5.25 USD per US gallon for the lowest grade of gas, ( 95 octane ). Diesel is somewhat cheaper at the station but on the other hand you pay a lot more in car tax for diesel powerd cars...
Goose Well let's see now the price per barrel is down about 10 bucks from 53+ to 43+ and the prices havent come down much..I smell Greed and Exhorbitant profit in the air. You know the frightning thing is if you want to control a population you don't have to have guns and tanks..you just need to control the fuel and access to medical care. If you cut the fuel availibility and raise the price sufficiently you cripple the transportation industry (trucking anyway) and that means empty store shelves in major cities in about 10 days. When poeple are Hungry and sick they will do pretty much what you want to get food heat and medicine..
Lifted79CJ7 WilRace wroteyou pay a lot more in car tax for diesel powerd cars... Huh, Why is that? Cause the fuel is cheaper so more people want them? By the way, what would you say the percentage of gas vs deisel cars over in your neck of the world? Jack
WilRace The reason for the higher tax on Diesel cars is an enviromental issue. The goverment has in it's wisdom decided that Diesel car pollutes more then gasoline burning vehicles. That means in reality that you have to drive very long distances for it to be economical with a disel powered car. In reality it's only trucks and TAXI's that go the Diesel route here because of the taxation. The percentage of diesel cars is perhaps 2-3 % only, (guesstimate) the rest is gasoline. Same goes for SUVs and lighter trucks, perhaps a bit higher percentage, but not very much so.
Mudrat Filled the truck when I got back for $1.73 It still took $55 to fill up :(: The Army base is $1.79 and the mountains where we were hunting was $183-$2.25 for 87 octane!!! Mudrat
