Went to Sand Moutain in Fallon Nevada, big sandune in middle of nowhere.
had a 401 powered FSJ with us. http://community.webshots.com/photo/218589620/218590645wrLzmk 70 Chevy short bed and my 02 dodge cummins 6spd. Dropped tire pressure to 7psi and had alot of fun. Let Ray drive my truck too. Didnt tell him till later in the day i plugged the wastegate to get the total boost up and so that it wouldnt blow off. poormans diesel trick. He was wondering why the old girl could hit the base of a dune in 5th gear low range and still power into it on even the steepest of hills. http://community.webshots.com/photo/218589620/218590701zBLuaE  http://community.webshots.com/photo/218589620/218590670YHJPHY
Total carnage for the weekend two blown beads 1 shreaded tire, 7 matching hangovers and one hell of a good time. http://community.webshots.com/photo/218589620/218590542lspkag
Oh yeah driving from SR to Fallon more like highway 50 Nevada from Carson City to Fallon i got 19 MPG at 80+MPH 100 at a few points  16mpg coming back to California pulling a FSJ cherokee on the trailer.
One other tip pull the ABS fuse 🙁: before playing in the Sand or anything for that matter, i bounced hard and high a couple of times then powered out on a hill. Hit the brakes pedal started pulsating, luckily i remembered soon enough that i still had a parking brake not soon enough to save hitting a few posts but soon enough not to really start scooting, still got going fast enough to get my attention.
MC congrats on the Godfather status.
Ray in one of his finer moments with his "adopted kid" Jim at the wheel. Jim's FSJ
