Top 4x4 sites discussion!

Their has been alot of talk and posts about the 4x4 Top sites and adding a link to their site. I would like to open discussion about this and please if your a Charter member post your opinion Charter members are those with a join number less than 401..

Don't understand the charter thing.. but yea, a button for voting would surely be a good thing.. I would be less likely to forget to give my support...

I think they use the same counting system as FLORIDA. They only count the votes they want :wink: -Paul

Well I think it would be better if they offered something to the top 25 but instead all we get is advertisements

Well I would agree that a more convienient voting button might help the count, Sure couldnt hurt..But I also agree with many members in that I vote every time I come to the board which is a lot and have watched the numbers not change for a couple days. So either everyone who takes the time to post that they voted is BS'ing (not likely takes more time to post than vote) or something wacky is going on and we are beating a dead horse trying to increase our standing.. (not that I'm gonna stop you understand I've always been a sucker for the underdog). Or possibly the vote is rigged and the winning sites are affiliated with the DemonRats..I mean Democrats (sorry I couldn't resist throwing in a little political conspiracy theory) :wink:

it seems that everytime i vote and check later the vote count has not changed at all.i think we need a vote button next to the bulltear emblem. this just might do the trick

It might be a waste of effort, you have 800 member and growing here word of mouth and email i think is stronger, most people i know havent ever heard of or seen the top 4x4 page. I think that mudrat and everyone has made a valiant effort but that the page may not be yeilding you guys that much exposure. Plus that damn voting never seems to record when i go in and vote either for all the times we each claim to go in and vot however many votes per month is pretty pathetic but never makes sense considering some of us are on here every day and do vote, it all doesnt add up I think bulltears reputation is gaining steam and will carry this forum/ page once products really start getting exposure with the bulltear name cast into them. Like the nickle timing covers, scratch in "bulltear" where people can see it but that looks good. Oh yeah, what happened to the left column with out names it used to say what member number we are didnt it. :sa:

I don't know if I'd do it if it costs money. Word of mouth is pretty strong. I also think it counts votes funny. I vote once from work and once from home nearly every day. I've seen it go over 24 hours without changing. just my .02 Bob tufcj

i do the same thing tufcj and the counter doesn't seem to be adding the votes at all.

I think there should be a vote button. We average about 150 (by thier counter) people clicking on the site. That is not bad traffic. I know they do not count the vote's right, we have all seen that. That's just my 2 cent's. It is your web site, we are just lucky enough to visit it :?

I think we need to open a can of whoopice and start and e-mail campaign. Also, just tried to vote again and I keep getting timed out or the host server couldn't be found. They may be have problems right now 'cause the rest of the world is beating the horse to death??

I have voted 3 times since the reset. There should be at least 10 votes counted. I have even tried clicking on my sig and 'rats, thinking one of us had a bad link, but it did not help.

I've voted daily from work and home, that should be at least 3, possibly 6 votes from me alone. Anybody know how they log the incoming user? Email, machine name, IP address? I'm sure somehow that all our votes aren't being tallied. Bob tufcj

As a member of the BullTear forum, I am inquiring about just exactly HOW the votes are being counted. I personally have voted from home every day (4 votes) and from work (4 votes) different IP, different cookies etc... We have started a thread where members can post when they vote to validate the Top 4x4 site count and the numbers are SIGNIFICANTLY different. By our thread we should have over 20 votes as of today (4 Nov) but your site is indicating only 4 votes posted.

We have been doing this for over a month since we have notices that only "The Big Boys" (over 1000 members) seem to get in the top 5 routinely. Can you please explain the discrepancy that is all to obvious? And I might add it's not only the BullTear board, but others that I am also a member of.
