intake runners are smaller than stock. :!: velocity?
I like the improved drain backs.
Valves are great, valve springs locks ect are all good.
Exhaust bowls are opened up and there is lots of room to expand port out
Excellent product overall
So to recap before my ramblings
-You need 4 shorter 1/2" or 7/16" head bolts that should come in the kit though didnt in either set of heads i got.
-You need a specific longer pushrods- just order em with the heads
-Pushrod tube holes dont exactly line up be prepared to grind some to open them up and cleanance them
-most headers and manifolds have a clearance issue withthe outside headbolts by the exhaust ports you will have to grind the maifold or header to make them fit. (i dont have the shorties they probably do without mods)
-3/8 roller rocker studs are provided get 3/8 roller rockers :t:
-NGK style spark plugs ask for a recommendation and number from edelbrock. :t:
-Hopefully they send instructions or info about the heads with the present sets of heads since i have given up on trying to get them now sine the heads are on and engine is in.
As to the heads read this and understand the variations that exist with an aftermarket replacement. But i am extremely happy that Edelbrock has fianlly stepped up and helped the AMC crowd. Now all we need is an EGR and CARB number for the EFI and then there iwll be even more guys converting thier old post 1975 Gagoneers and AMCs to fuel injection in california
