Things are finaly falling into place now I need to address the trans/tcase.
I have a 435/205 to use but would rather use a big spline top loader/203/205. I realy don't need a granny first, particularly if a doubler setup is used, and it will shift much better. I have a chevy 203 coming in the next couple of days and already have the toploader and 205 just need adapters and respline to put it all together. It appears that a 1" aluminum adapter plate should be able to pick up the bolts on the toplader and the bolts for a TH350 then an adapter similar to the ORD gen2 and respline both shafts. How do we procede? I think this would make a very good setup for a Jeep also since it should be fairly short. Also I believe that there is an earlier Jeep trans top and shifter that will work with the toploader, do you know which one and do you have one?
It's gone a bit over the initial budget of 1500 to 3500 but things such as doors, top, OBA, OBW, tilt bed, 2 M12000s, etc
